Controls quick reference

Gakuran controls to check before your first fight.

Controls are easier to fix before combat starts. Use this as a first-session checklist, then confirm exact bindings in your own settings.

PC checks

  • Open settings and confirm your movement, camera, and interaction keys before fighting.
  • Test combat stance and menu inputs in a low-pressure area.
  • If first person feels stuck, check camera mode and reset view before changing devices.

Mobile checks

  • Use a clear screen layout before entering combat.
  • Confirm jump, camera movement, interact, and menu buttons are visible.
  • Avoid redeeming codes during a crowded fight; use a safe spot first.

Controller checks

  • Confirm interact, menu, camera, and combat stance buttons after joining.
  • If an action does not respond, test the same action on keyboard or mobile before assuming it is unavailable.
  • Keep a note of any custom bindings you changed.

Movement and camera

Movement and cameraCheck movement, jump, camera mode, and first-person exit before entering combat.Keep camera swipe space clear and confirm the jump button is not covered.Test movement, camera speed, and menu focus after joining.
Combat inputsConfirm combat stance, light actions, and dodge or block bindings in a quiet spot.Watch for crowded touch buttons and accidental camera turns during fights.Verify every combat action because controller layouts can vary by setup.
Phone and menuOpen phone, inventory, and settings once before you need them.Make sure small utility buttons are visible after screen scaling. If a menu traps focus, switch input method and reset the menu state.

Combat inputs

Treat combat controls as a readiness check. If you cannot enter stance, leave stance, move the camera, and close menus on command, do not spend a fight learning all of that at once.

Two-minute warmup

Walk, jump, rotate the camera, enter combat stance, leave combat stance, then open phone and settings once.

Safe fight test

Practice one short exchange in a low-pressure area and stop if camera or input timing feels wrong.

Menu recovery

Practice closing every menu you open so codes, phone, and settings do not trap you mid-session.

Combat stance

Confirm how to enter and exit combat stance before testing codes or rerolls in a busy area.

Phone and menu

Menus can be harder to use mid-fight. Learn where they are while safe.

First-person exit

If camera view feels locked, check camera mode and reset view before changing your device.
